The www.gago.info project is about trying to help wolrdwide students who have finished the High School (18 years old) and They want to follow higher education but They can´t afford it for different reasons.

When was the idea born? 

The idea was born in 2003 and 2004 when the webmaster and founder (Jose-Manuel Gago) was collaborating in a school of Chiloé (Islands in the South of Chile) for 2 years, where some students who finished the High School (18 years old), They could´t access to the University since They had to help their families...

In August 2006 the webmaster visited Chile again and He met some old students who after 2 years they still were trying to access to the University or so, but they had to work for helping their families, so finally the webmaster decided so start seriously this project in his free time. 

What are we doing by now? 

 By now We are just looking for advises (We are really lost, We don´t know how to start) both in NGOs, Institutions, etc., and Universities all over the world.

For instance We are sending emails to Universities asking for the access requierments, scholarships, degrees validations in other countries...

 What do we expect? 

By now We would be happy If we could help some students in Chile, but the idea is to help not just these students, but also any student with same kind of problems

On the other hand We would like to make clear that We just want to help, We do not want to found an NGO or something, maybe we can join a bigger one (According to experts that is better in order to join forces against injustices), but we do not say no to that idea, if someday we think it is nessesary, but anyway this project is just starting, and its future will depend on everyone who would like to collaborate.
